I'm Umar — a multidisciplinary designer evolving into a Design Engineer, passionate daydreamer, and creative problem-solver based in 🇳🇱 Amsterdam, Netherlands. 

My approach

As a designer, I strive to produce forward-looking, user-centered work. Over 6+ years I've researched and designed everything from complex enterprise products and financial platforms to consumer apps used by millions, and playful, game-based experiences.

My approach is driven by curiosity. I love taking a raw idea or business goal, stretching and researching its possibilities, then consolidating it into something tangible, intuitive, and genuinely engaging to use.

I believe the best work holds intentional contrasts: familiar yet fresh, complex yet clear, playful yet refined.

Vibe Coded Projects

I design and build digital products from idea to production. After 6+ years in Product Design, I'm transitioning into Design Engineering—combining my design expertise with my Computer Science background to bridge the gap between design and development. I create production-ready interfaces, design systems, and AI-powered workflows that are not only beautiful but built to ship.
